Kamala Harris: A Study of Projection and Scapegoating
Like many around the world, I listened to Kamala Harris’ interview with Fox wanting to see how she would respond in an interview that is not edited, has no teleprompter, and with questions not previously given to her. Before we continue on some important points, I want to make something most important clear. Kamala Harris is a woman created in the image of God and in whom God has a plan and purpose for her life. She is loved dearly by God, just as Donald Trump is. Both of them being loved by God is hard for many to fathom in a hostile world that gets its energy from dualistic thinking that has not yet made the shift in consciousness to see from God’s perspective. God’s perspective loves unconditionally, while desiring very real paths and rules of life to be followed and stewarded. This level of seeing is an ongoing process we are all invited to enter at deeper and deeper levels in order to understand the meaning of life, which is ultimately to learn to Love.
To the degree we do anything without Love is to the degree we have not yet integrated into why we exist and why we are here. There is a difference between lovingly challenging someone’s actions and dehumanizing them, something which is very hard for people to understand who think the world is only about tolerance, saying nice things, or being black or white on issues as if there was never nuance or complexities.
So please hear me foundationally saying that Kamala Harris is loved and has a definite plan from God, and at the same time, she must be evaluated for the position she is running for. She must be understood in the larger context of our time and all time. I believe Kamala, at her core of who God made her to be, would agree with the substance of her own words from the interview when she said, “The president of the United States should be able to handle criticism…” For original context sake, she stated this by finishing that sentence “without saying he’d [Trump] lock people up for doing it.”
It’s an interesting statement considering you’d have to be extremely unaware of the context of Trump’s words and life, along with the context of what people who criticize him have been doing to lock him up or kill him. You don’t need to be a Trump supporter to see this, and thankfully, many are waking up to it for the sake of humanity in general.
So in the substance of her words for the job she is running for to be able to handle criticism, while I still have the chance to healthily criticize, (unlike other countries where you can now be jailed for criticizing someone), I will say that I sincerely believe being president of the U.S. is not part of God’s plan for her. This does not mean she may not be president, but if we were interviewing someone for a job based on capabilities and the substance required at this level, I am not sure she would make it past a second interview. There is a reason people were concerned to begin with as she was never a popular choice and no one else in her party was given a choice to apply for the job. When you give someone a position they have not earned, nor are they called to, you are in great danger for all kinds of leadership flaws to damage an organization, or in this case, a country.
In the interview with FOX this was demonstrated in her leadership as Kamala took no accountability for the failures of her administration. This was a chance for a true leader to shine by being honest with her or her party's mistakes, while currently in a position of power, but it quickly turned into a theme of blaming Donald Trump over and over and over again. At one point, she said her routine line that we have to “turn the page” and stop pointing the finger, yet many wonder if she does not have the self-awareness to understand she was pointing the finger throughout? It made sense why her team was frantically waving their hands to end the interview just minutes after she had become visibly angry and deflecting another answer to again talk about Donald Trump rather than answering the questions about herself. To fail to understand you are in a position of leadership applying for a higher position, and yet continue to blame someone who hasn’t been president for 3 ½ years as being the substance of your reasoning, is the very narrative on which the page needs to be turned.
People are starting to see it has never been about the people, it has only been about a mass effort of blaming, scapegoating, and inviting hate towards another human being in a repeated attempt to make sure Trump is not elected again.
“The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” “And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed–if all records told the same tale–then the lie passed into history and became truth.” - 1984 (Geroge Orwell)
Kamala is participating in one of the greatest coordinated movements in history of misinformation, lies, inauthenticity, propaganda, blame, and projection onto a single man. Again, you don’t need to vote for or support Donald Trump to see it. The question is whether she actually knows it or not. This interview exposed the same tired scapegoating narrative in full technicolor. On top of that, the person who is running against her has a proven track record of helping the country in many areas, that you can no longer use his supposed failures as an excuse to not take responsibility for your own. People wanted a chance to see who Kamla is without a script. But that is just it, the blaming and deflecting revealed who she really is and how she approaches this job. This interview revealed her present level of character and substance.
The question remains: Are you knowingly misleading people or are you ignorant of how you are being used to do so?
When you were given a chance to answer things to bring clarity to what you would do based on specific things you have actually said, you revealed vague answers like, “I will follow the law.” You are running for a position in which people are concerned about the very laws and policies being changed, especially many of those your opponent had that worked, that are now seriously hurting people. You following the law means nothing of substance. What if the law becomes to further censor its citizens as you are already promoting? If you cannot answer a question directly in a manner that reveals what you would actually do, you could never convince people of your leadership. The only way you could gain momentum is to project hate and fear onto your opponent to convince people to choose anyone but him.
But we already had that story in 2020 and it has not been working for the majority of people.
Cut and paste the same tactic in 2024 and you will now see why people actually want to turn the page from this rhetoric. Kamala has also been caught over and over again on tape, changing her stances to get votes, all with precise words and not some out of context soundbite. This is coming down to a race between a politician trying to prosecute a pretty successful former president through a smear campaign meant to deflect from the actual behavior of her own leadership.
Many have not realized that most of Kamala's Interviews, which are few, are edited and as much as recently, even cut and pasted with answers from different questions being used in a final edit for the public. This prevents people from seeing what they were able to begin to see in the Fox interview. This kind of behavior is alarming, not only for the journalism that refuses to allow the full or correct context to be seen (or hard to find), but for a candidate that has continued to decline in credibility anytime she talks off script. The majority of people do not want a scripted president who is not able to handle themselves in real conversations, especially if they might be a little challenging, which the President of the United States will do constantly.
Scripts might work to get you elected, but it does not work to keep the country protected.
This is one of the reasons Trump grows in popularity because he continually speaks in environments where interviewers or moderators have been hostile towards him, even falsely fact-checking him, yet he never backs down from challenging them, especially when they lie. More so, he does not change his stances to conform to the environment. I have even heard Harris claim he is hiding. Seriously, the lack of awareness of what your opponent is actually doing and saying can either mean you are ignorant, or purposely misleading people to believe things that are not true. It seems one of Harris’ final attempts now is to spin the narrative that Trump’s mental health is in decline, while failing to admit when their own party’s leaders physical and mental health was actually declining. Again, you do not have to support Trump to see this, but anyone actually watching and listening to the full context of what Trump is doing and saying in his appearances, understands how misguided this lie is. It would only appear real if you only listened to one side of the narrative you were being told. But again, this was another deflection point in her interview when she had the opportunity to answer the question of when she herself had noticed the decline of Joe Biden, to which she again pointed the finger at Trump.
If you expect the people to know things before you do, like seeing Joe’s decline, then the people are actually better leaders who do not have to guess what you do and do not know and what you really do and do not think. There’s no reason to figure it out at that point. There’s no confidence of actual discernment in your leadership.
All of this is a deflection of reality and projection of the highest order. The scapegoating is incoherent and that is what people are most tired of, because it both brainwashes the public to hate someone in ways that appear righteous and reveals no real leadership from a presidential candidate. People deserve better.
In further contrast, Trump actually admits he has learned from his mistakes in his first term, especially with the kinds of leaders that were around him that were of the power hungry political type who say one thing and do another. The level of leadership around him now is drastically better, yet even then, he was able to be successful in his first term. This is one of the reasons why so many “Never Trumpers” are now supporting him in record numbers because they see unity at an unprecedented level with leaders across parties who are credible in leading others for good. Their main narrative is not to scapegoat a single person but to confront a corrupt system in which Harris is merely a puppet in. These leaders cannot be bought, which is what made Trump compelling for some in the first place, as leaders that cannot be bought bring change at unprecedented levels.
Of course change is hard and it also confronts the propaganda laced political powers of the world that want to remain in power. They want to be able to convince the world that Trump is Hitler and that certain change is not good. They want you to fight for sensible reasons that in the end will actually not make sense. “There is a way that appears right but in the end it leads to death.” (Proverbs 14:12) The repealing of Trump’s border work has been a dramatic example of this. It is not propaganda, both sides understand the border issue, but one side had the solution for it revoked.
So who is actually vetoing bills, votes, and policies to create problems that were once solutions in order to run on problems they then refused to fix? But the narrative we are supposed to believe is that Donald Trump is the reason….?
People are starting to wake up.
We need authentic leadership. We need someone who is strong and capable of dealing with very real threats to our country and others. We need someone with a proven track record of doing so, and it is actually available to us now. We need a team who will actually fight for the freedoms of people and not just rile you up to pretend they are.
We do want to turn the page. Turn the page from the current administration and how it treated its citizens during a pandemic, while continuing to lead the country and economy in decline. Turn the page from the continued rhetoric inciting hate and violence towards Donald Trump and blaming him for all your problems. Turn the page from politicians who say one thing, while doing another, all while blaming the other for doing exactly what you do at far greater levels. Turn the page from the continued pressure of censorship, which may end up being the most dangerous thing of all.
In the end, authentic leadership is the way forward and always has been. No president will be able to stop every threat and problem that arises, but there are leaders that mitigate those damages, while actually thinking about the people’s long term success. No president will be able to give us inner peace, but they can contribute to world peace through policy. Ultimately, this has to come back to God. Only God can give us a peace that surpasses understanding, regardless of who is elected, as we navigate a difficult and dualistic world that loves to scapegoat. But I will say this:
I believe we are in the midst of a mass awakening in human consciousness. As the propaganda and political systems decline and deconstruct, a new era of righteousness is on the rise. In great darkness, people see a great light.
Will it stay?
That answer is partially up to you and me.
May we protect and not project, so we can actually learn to love that which causes life to flourish in our world. May Kamala grow and awaken in becoming who she was meant to be instead of just someone who blames Donald Trump for everyone’s problems as part of a system of projection to protect entrenched powers. May she learn humility and vulnerability, to lead through mistakes and learn from them, rather than deflect responsibility. I pray she will and believe she can…
If she will just turn the right page.
